History |
|
| |
In
1982, Mr. Alan Kuo found its own private company,named Well & Peace
|
|
| |
Enterprise
Co., Ltd, as a manufacturer of electronic security products. |
|
| |
At
the early days, Well & Peace designed and manufactured burglar alarm |
|
| |
systems
and devices, including alarm control panels, ultrasonic motion detectors, |
|
| |
magnetic
contacts, ultrasonic alarm system, glass break sensors¡Ketc. |
|
| |
Due
to lack of international marketing capability, Well & Peace mainly sold
its |
|
| |
products
through trading firms at that time. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
In
November 1986, Mr. Andy Huang joined the company mainly to introduce |
|
| |
products
directly to the worldwide market. In
1987, the company launched its |
|
| |
first
Passive Infrared (PIR) Detector for intruder alarm system, and received |
|
| |
tremendous
success from professional security markets. |
|
| |
In
the same year, the company decided to change its name from Well & Peace |
|
| |
to
IR-TEC to enhance its professionalism in infrared sensing technology. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Following
the success of its first PIR detector, IR-TEC introduces more motion |
|
| |
sensing
products for various applications. These include battery operated PIR |
|
| |
detector
for OEM wireless alarm system, anti-masking PIR detector, |
|
| |
quad
element PIR detector, PIR light control SenSwitches. In 1995, IR-TEC |
|
| |
launched
its first PIR + Microwave dual technology detector to the world |
|
| |
security
market. This makes IR-TEC the first company who manufactures |
|
| |
PIR + MW dual technology detector in Taiwan. In 1998, IR-TEC introduced
|
|
| |
probably
the world's first PIR occupancy sensor specially designed for |
|
| |
automatic
control of HVAC (Heater Ventilation & Air-conditioner) systems. |

In
2001 IR-TEC became the first Taiwanese company capable of supplying |
|
| |
Pet
Immune motion detectors. At IR-TEC, the development of more innovative |
